Во вступительном ролике игры нас сразу же знакомят, с принцессой Тимерии, Аддой Белой, которую мы по поручению Фольтеста короля Темерии, должны освободить от проклятия, в конце ролика ведьмак освобождает 14летнюю девочку, от проклятия с помощью небольшой хитрости.
Сама игра на то время когда она вишлла, была проработана довольно хорошо.
Геймплей игры порадовал открытостью хоть, и ограниченной, но не на столько, как во втором. Порадовало то, что можно зайти в любой дом. В игре довольно немного существ, с которыми нам предстоит сражаться, в основном: проклятые собаки, гули, утопленники, и прочие. Так же присутствует банда, саламандр, с которыми Геральд стыкаешься не один раз.
Игра богата на много квестов, за которые мы получаем орены, или любовь дам.
Хорошо проработана алхимия, с рецептами.
Также не обошёл стороной, и персонажей которые присутствуют в игре, и скажу вам их больше чем монстров. В основном друиды, дриады, скайтаели, люди.
Имеются камни рун, и камни силы что увеличивают силу ведьмачих знаков.
Техника боя, это именно то на что стоит обратить внимание, тут она розделина, на 3 стиля с помощью которых, нам прийдётся убывать врагов, и каждый тип врага подстоен под разнообразие стиля. Система прокачки проста получил очко открыл ячейку.
Что не понравилось интерьер внутри домов был одинаковым, хотелось бы видеть разнообразие на то время это можно было сделать. При должном удалении времени на игру.
