Me 2014: Hmmmm... | Dota 2

Me 2014: Hmmmm..kinda bored...what could i play? Browsing Shop....whats that...Dota 2? Free and from Valve. Okay why not, let's try it out. Team Fortress 2 is great so this could be good too.

Fast forward three years and 2000 in game hours: Woaw! This game is not just good, it's one of the most fun and addictive ones i have ever played. Yes I know, what a dull sentence but please let me explain you why I think that way.

So you wanna try out Dota? ( Or you are just here because you lost a game and now you want to tell everyone that this game sucks and you quit....thats fine.....see you tommorow!)

Let's start by some ummmm "facts" about the game because after that I just talk about what makes Dota so great which is a bit biased (actually a lot) I guess.

First and really important, this game is really "free to play". You download the game, you start it and boom you can play every Hero (please don't say Champion, that triggers a lot of people!) anytime you want. You can still buy a lot of stuff (cosmetics for Heroes, Music Packs, Announcers....) but nothing of that gives you any in game advantage.

Second, calling this game complex would be huge euphemism. It took me about 100 hours to understand the basic stuff and another two hundred to feel comfortable with it. However if you want to be at least decent will all the mechanics in this game, I would say you need around 1000 hours. Of course if you are a quick learner and a good player in general, you will need less time. Still, you will never "master" Dota. There is a saying in the community: The longer you play, the more you realize you suck. So why am I telling you this? You need to invest time in Dota to have fun. You are someone with not much time to play games and you just want to hop in to a game and have fun? Don't play Dota. The mechanics of this game are overwhelming (especially if you have never played a MOBA before) : There are 113 Heroes in Dota, which all have at least four abilities, there are items you can buy which often have active effects and need pre requirements to make them. You need to stack and pull camps, deny your creeps and try to last hit as many of the enemy ones. Warding and dewarding is extremly important as well as to know when to fight as a team or to take objectives. And that is just some basic stuff (wanna hear about tread switching, or lane equilibrium?) Sounds intimidating? Don't worry, you will learn everything in time. Please just don't expect to become a really good player after 10 hours or something.

But......(and that's a big but, I know) if you are willing to invest this time and ignore that you sometimes have no idea what the f**k is even going on in this game, you will love it, I am sure of it. The complex nature of Dota is also it's biggest strength. You've becoming good with Wraith King, (one of the easy Heroes, only two active Skills) you can last hit solid, you got some items, you decide to fight wit your team...and then you crush the enemy and after some more intense fights you win the game. What a great feeling! You start searching for a new game. You maybe think: "Hey, next game I'm gonna buy differnt items. let's see how this turn out. Also i wanna try out this Lina Hero, her fire stuff looks really cool and strong. Congratulations! You now maybe unterstand that addiction part a bit more which I talked about. :)

There will be some games though which wont't be that fun and the reason for that are, most of the time, your teammates. You don't play Dota alone. It's 5v5 and that other four guys in your team can you give you a hard time. You see...Dota feels and plays like a very competitive game. This can lead to some pressure. You want to win this game, you want to play at your best...and then your stupid Crystal Maiden dies over and over again. You asked her to play more defensive and she just says: "Мне нужно фермы battlefury!" Yes, there will be times where you have toxic teammates who blame you for every mistake you do. Yes, there will be games where you play really good but still lose because your team played bad. But you know what will happen most of the time?? You will do mistakes, lot's of them and the combiantion of all the mistakes of you and your team will let you lose the game. Please, don't see the four other guys as an obstacle which just makes your game harder. You are stuck with them for this game, so beeing nice and calm can make the difference between 30 minutes of pure flaming and blaming or a game where you might still lose but think: "Okay game lost, but it was still fun and I learned something new, should not buy battlefury on Bounty Hunter." Dota has all the core elements for a fun game but in the long run your attitude decides if you will enjoy the game or if it will just make you angry.

Thanks for reading! And if my review did not convince you.....Dota has some really good memes!

Tl,tr: If you are willing to invest time in this game and try to stay positive you gonna have fun for thousand of hours.скачать dle 10.6фильмы бесплатно
