Bomb DefusePerhaps the most infamous gameplay mode of the CS series, Bomb Defuse pits C4 planting Terrorists against bomb defusing Counter-Terrorists. The objectives may be simple but carrying them out requires a great amount of skill and team work from both Counter-Terrorists and Terrorists. In this round-based mode simply killing all of the opposing team may not be enough. Counter-Terrorists - Prevent the C4 Bomb from detonating, if a planted bomb cannot be defused the Terrorists win the round even if their entire team is dead. Terrorists - Carry the single C4 Bomb to one of two Bomb sites, or kill all Counter-Terrorists.Hostage RescueThe very vulnerable, and valuable, objective of living hostages are fought over in this mode. Hostages are vulnerable targets, but also very -valuable- to the Counter-Terrorists. Rescuing them can bring in big dollars for the next round but injuring them is painful to your wallet! Counter-Terrorists - Locate and retrieve all Hostages in the map, leading them back to the Hostage Rescue Zone back in CT Spawn. Killing all Terrorists can also win the round in Hostage Rescue.
